2 Orchard Gate offers accommodations in Kent, 6.2 miles from University of Kent and 6.3 miles from Canterbury Cathedral.

I had the pleasure of staying at Louis' beautiful house at 2 Orchard Gate for one night during my visit to Canterbury for my convocation at Canterbury Christ Church University. The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, with fresh, clean bedsheets. The house itself is charming and located in a very quiet, peaceful area, which made for a pleasant stay. Louis, the owner, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Not only did she greet me warmly, but she even pressed my clothes and served me a lovely cup of coffee in the morning. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out. The location at Orchard Gate is also fantastic—very close to the university, which was perfect for my visit. For the price, it’s a great value, and I highly recommend staying here if you’re in Canterbury. Louis is a wonderful host, and the place truly feels like a home away from home.

Providing a garden, Canterbury HOMESTAY Ensuite features accommodations in Canterbury. Guests can benefit from a patio and a sun terrace.

The warm and easy welcome from the host and the sense of instant ease and friendship. Sharing the kitchen enabled me to spend a very pleasant evening as we had many experiences in common. The room, on the top floor of a modern town house was well appointed and the ensuite was scrupulously clean and functional. I couldn't have expected more from the room in a four-star hotel. Well placed for the town centre. Thoroughly recommend.

The delicious food in the restaurant is worth a detour. The hotel’s owner is also the chef and a true magician in that domain. We had dinner at the hotel twice which we almost never do. The little hotel has been refurbished and is run with love, taste, and style. Also, the owners are deeply rooted in the region, the chef’s father being the town’s mayor. So, in the evening you will also see the locals having drinks at the bar and having a good time. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
