Didn’t have breakfast as not included in price.
View good.
Very good bed linen and towels, though no heating in bathroom so towels wt after shower and not renewed.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Great hosts, so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, continental breakfast was plentiful. The location was a 10 minute walk down the hill to town, possibly 15 to 20 minutes back up 😄.
Bus stop about 8 minutes away for the No 24/25 to Charlestown and St Austell or onwards to Mevagissey or Newquay, would recommend buying the £7 dayrider if you are using public transport, Par Station was a 15 minute bus ride or 10 minutes in a taxi.
Lovely quirky old pub … nice friendly landlord … nothing was too much trouble .. cosy room with a nice bathroom…… locals all friendly
Nice central location
Ben and Michaela were very welcoming and great hosts. We felt like nothing was too much trouble. The property was quiet and comfortable, and convenient for walking into town.
Warm, comfortable and with stunning views from the front. An ideal little pied a terre for an adventure around this beautiful part of Cornwall. As a spot for a weekend break goes, can’t be beaten on price, value or comfort.
Loved the pub too - it’s a down to earth locals pub that welcomes visitors too, and serves ample portions.
Would highly recommend.
The pub is just at the top of the town, 5 mins from everything, and is a nice locals place (with a live band on the first night.)
Nicole was really helpful, put herself out for us, and also made a real effort with the breakfast for my vegan daughter which was much appreciated.
The room was comfy and clean, and separate from the pub so quiet and private.
Proper pub with proper Proper Job - that's proper - especially in a touristy town like Fowey. Great locals - didn't burn us at the stake when we won the meat draw twice - great hosts in Gill and Gra' - excellent breakfasts, locally sourced ingredients (ask for Steve's special surf n turf breakfast sandwich if you're feeling adventurous). And free PARKING!!!!
The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for our mini break. Great Host. Very friendly and welcoming locals
