I stayed at Tatasya Homestay in Senaru and they were incredible from start to finish. They helped me plan and execute my Mount Rinjani trek and made everything smooth and stress-free. They held my bags while I hiked, arranged a car ride to Kuta after my trek, and even welcomed me back with fresh coconuts. After the hike, they let me shower and rest in a room before heading out, which was such a blessing after three days in the mountains.
The hospitality here is top-notch, super warm, helpful, and kind people. That alone makes this place worth staying at.
One small downside was that they didn’t mention the hot springs wouldn’t be hot because the lake was too high during rainy season. Also, I did the 3-day/2-night trek, and while it was beautiful, it was pretty brutal. On the second day, you summit at sunrise, hike down to the lake, then up the other side of the crater, it’s a really tough push. I’m not sure the extra day is worth it unless you’re super set on seeing the lake. If you're looking for value and a challenging but more manageable hike, the 2-day/1-night trek might be the better choice.
Overall though, I 100% recommend Tatasya Homestay if you're heading to Rinjani. They took such good care of me, and I’m grateful for everything they did.

Basic accommodation with an epic view of the sunrise and mount rinjani. Fantastic host who really goes out of his way to help with anything and everything. Location was a short walk uphill to other warungs and the best part is being able to walk to see the waterfalls. Hot water shower! Very nice.

You will arrive as a guest and you will leave as a family member. The hospitality is incredible. I felt very welcome and comfortable. You are invited to join them to have some local food or drink together, if you like. But if you want to do your own thing, that's good too. A great place to stay! Hot showers. A true homestay with a lovely, welcoming family and staff. Very quiet and natural surroundings, it's in the middle of rice fields. Organizing trips, hikes, transport, everything can be arranged. Highly recommended!
It's a beautiful scenic place, with views on the ocean. The surrounding Garden and the fishpond with turtle makes it even more beautiful. The food was especially very tasty and the breakfast looked like a piece of art.
The cabin is built in traditional style. I did a 5 hour hike with guide through rice fields, 2waterfalls, up on the mountain, through the forest. A great hike! The area is really quiet and yet not spoiled by mass tourism. Friendly locals.
