The accommodation was modern and very clean. The hosts were incredibly kind and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The owner even gave us a ride to the city center. They also regularly checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.

We enjoyed everything here!
My partner and I kept on extending our stay here as we have found our favorite hotel in Kuta! We stayed in several places in town with a budget of 17 to 55€ and Qwank is by far the best place!
The 103 room is wide, pretty, bright, modern, clean, plenty of storage, AC works perfectly. Bathroom is also big with hot water. It reaches almost the european standards and it feels good to be that comfy when you’ve been traveling a lot.
Also, the plus points of the room are the hairdryer, the safe, the kettle, some instant coffee, tissues.
There are right now 6 rooms in the homestay, the garden is pretty, we have our terrace with a table and two chairs. The common area for breakfast is outdoor, it’s where you can chat with the others guests, work. It had free water and a fridge. Coffee and sugar are also available.
There is a surfboards rack as well.
We choose the option to have breakfast included: you can choose between omelette, scrambled eggs or pancake, it comes with tea or coffee. But you can order a banana juice instead. Portions are generous and you can always ask for boiled eggs of sunny side up if you want a change. The service is just truly amazing here!
Saleh who is in charge of the service, cleaning, is just so kind and helpful! Always joyful and willing to make your stay just perfect. He always offer to clean and change the sheets in our room. His care is incredible.
Dedi, the owner, is the most generous soul. He’s so nice and love to teach us some bahasa and sasak languages.
On top of that, his wife made to us all in the homestay, a big traditional lombok dinner just for the pleasure of sharing their culture.
We feel so grateful to be their guests and have found this little paradise.
So overall, the service and the price are just unbeatable!
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Melody Surf Camp is a locally owned simple accommodation spot. It was perfect for us for a couple of nights, and the best bit was putting our tourism money straight into the local economy, and supporting this group of locals in getting established. Thank you for looking after us, sharing your inside info and looking after your people.
Great place for surf and relax in the Ekas peninsula area with lovely hosts. Away from all the hustle and bustle of other parts of the island. Loved the surf tips, transport and help from expert host Tim
This place is run by very helpful, sociable and funny locals. I had a great time here and loved everything about the place. Thanks Rull, Jaya, Zem and Mizwan for hosting me!
I highly recommend staying at Melody. I had three nights here and mainly came to surf. The local family who own this homestay are very friendly and helpful!! They organised long boards to surf, a boat, and took me and another guest to their favourite Warung for a tasty meal after an EPIC sunset surf at insides with only 5 of us in the lineup and the sunset beaming over the water! The breakfast and coffee was delicious and they gave me fruit whenever I needed some extra food after surfing :) Thank you guys!!!
Naan, his wife and cute daughter are so kind and their homestay is a little paradise. There's all you need there, scooters, surf boards and good waves. Naan take us to know all the surf spots around the area, he is
A perfect homestay, very very cosy, big room and bathroom, super terrace, a cheap restaurant in the location, near the beach.
Bed was comfy, big, all simple without AC but a fan which is not an issue for me.
Loved to chill on the terrace, enjoy a slow life.
On top of it the family running the place was so kind! Owner rented us a scooter and always made sure we had a pleasant stay, which we had. We even extended and wished we stayed there much more time.
It was terrible. We had booked a bungalow but it was to disgusting to stay in so we ended up sleeping in a nearby Homestay the first night. The owner then gave us one of the villas instead. The villas is very dirty inside and smell bad. It’s now at all like the pictures. The pool is very dirty and unusable. We asked for money back but they said no. We ended up leaving early and staying somewhere else.
