The host Mamalis made amazing varied food, some of the best we’ve had in Indonesia. Papa Sem has a boat for snorkeling and dolphin tours. The atmosphere is calm, close to the pier and two diving schools. Communication in English is done through Stefen, who runs a nearby homestay. The ladies were lovely, food was great, sometimes exceptional, beer reasonable priced and a great location. I was fortunate in having a room at the front with 2 beds so it was roomy and comfortable. It is a very good middle ground resort and that is their business niche which is important in that there are several very expensive resorts at one end of the resort spectrum and home stays at the other end. Frangky and his wife are so friendly ! the room is nice and comfortable . Nona , Frangky’s wife , is a chef ! her meals are delicious and I can tell you will never be hungry after . Frangky knows everybody in the village and can organise everything for you at a very good price the homestay is in center of the village, few meters from the sea .. very well located .
