Everything was amazing, we were supposed to stay just 2 nights and we ended up staying 4!! Sri, the host of the homestay, is just wonderful. She is friend with everyone in the village and she can show you around or give you great recommendations, specially if you are the type of traveller that wants to avoid crowds.
I highly recommend staying here and explore the area, also don't be shy about talking with Sri about anything (including prices if you are not convinced), she is the kindest and will explain everything, since she always wants to make sure their guests are happy with their experience at her place.
Also, she cooks all meals herself (and sometimes with her family) and it is the best food we've had in all Indonesia so far.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
We enjoyed the area, access to the beach, and the locals' friendly and warm welcome. The surf spot was right in front of the property. You could check the waves and be in the water two minutes later. The line-up is welcoming and people were there to encourage each other. The Mojosurf staff were kind and ready to help, the manager was lovely and always responded quickly to messages.
Excellent location and an amazing traditional villa feel. There was a real surfer vibe to the camp. Very friendly staff and great food at normal prices from great cooks who make everything fresh. If you want really local prices than there are plenty of local places across the road. This town is a place were locals go and as a tourist you really stand out.
It is expensive compared to other places in the area (I stayed in a few of them). However, this is by far the best place it could not be in a more perfect location. I stayed in one of the bungalows, the four-poster bed was amazing, the bathroom had water pressure and a sit-down toilet. The surfboards they have there are very good quality and fun to ride and the knowledgable locals who hung around there were very fun to party with and offer surfing advice.
King kong is a great host, he will help you with anything! There is a good vibe in the camp! The surf (beach break) is within walking distance. The accomodation is basic.
This place is everything you want in a homestay, Great location close to the beach 300m, small warungs and small supermarket close by.
The homestay has a great homely feel about it, David the host is friendly and has great local knowledge from surfing to placers to go see around the area.
Surfboard rental is available if need.
Ari David’s employee cooks you a great breakfast and if you need a massage Ari is the lady.
Pak Hendro is an amazing Host, hospitality and the people here are very amazing, they have a lot of activities to offer and make you feel very welcome and at home.
The Homestay is decent, very simple, but it works.
Family homestay, Hendro who is managing the homestay is wonderful, he or his family will help you for anything you need, he can organize a lot of trips, very simple homestay but everything you need
Please go visit Red Beach , a great spot for surfing with stunning beach and sunsets. David, the host is simply a beautiful soul. Red Beach homestay deserves a visit to spend time with him. Thanks for the great time! Will love to come back!
