I was sure we were going to have a special experience here when I had booked, but the reality went far over our expectations. Jar, the owner and his lovely family are all wonderful people who made us feel at home from the first moment, and they speak English well, so we could also learn a lot about the life in Lombok. We got the most delicious food every day that Mimi (his sister) cooked for us, and could also explore the island from here, thanks to Jar’s help and guidance, and the central location of the place (only 15 mins drive from central Tete Batu). The place (and also the neighborhood) is clean, comfortable, and due to the higher altitude of the village, airconditioning is absolutely not needed.
It’s a genuine local experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it, even for longer stays.
I can say only the bests about our time at Zinzi’s and hope we will have the opportunity to go back in the future.

Beautiful location. Staff were friendly and very accommodating . Zul took us on a walk through the paddies and village and taught us so much about life in Loyok. He was fantastic with our children making them necklaces and kazoos using plants. A wonderful and memorable time spent in this special village.

Over the course of this week, we absolutely fell in love with Indonesia, not least of all because of the hospitality shared with us at Mu homestay. Though daily prayer calls prevent the landscape from being peaceful per se, its beauty is undeniable. From choosing meals, to booking local tours, to getting a ride to the airport everything was easy, fairly priced, and so much fun with the staff here. Beyond that, our room was lovely with beautiful views, comfy pillows, strong ac, and my favorite soap at any hotel we’ve stayed at. Andy, Ryan, and Sometimes made us feel like old friends. We’d absolutely come back and recommend to anyone we know looking to visit Indonesia

We loved everything! Hir and his family are so welcoming. Hir took us on a wonderful tour, showing us the local area and foraging for edible fruit and plants. The food was AMAZING - we loved the curry, gado gado and olah olah. It’s quiet, peaceful and located 500m from the monkey forest and right next to a waterfall. The room was simple but had everything we needed. The garden is full of beautiful plants including those edible fruits and spices. There’s free tea and coffee all day

Everything was perfect! I wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of this place. I could sit on the front porch all day and just enjoy the view! The staff were incredible, taking time to chat with you which was really nice! The shower in the room was spectacular, the water felt really fresh! We rode up on scooters from Kuta so we could explore the area. There are a bunch of beautiful waterfalls nearby. There’s also a lot to see just on foot near the place as well. There is a warung next door run by the owner’s wife. The food was great and well priced. I would highly recommend coming to this place and if you can stay an extra day or two, it’s worth it. Don’t rush out of this place!
