The heating on made the room excessively hot - even with windows open there was no breeze due to being inside a small alley between the houses. The mattress on the bed was broken on the side and the springs buckled when you sat on it - C1

Gorgeous location, right on the River Shannon. We were very surprised to find such a rural feeling place so close to Limerick. The home is quite old and is being fixed up, a labor of love for the family. Mark, our host, was incredibly kind and truly went the extra mile to make us feel at home and to see to our comfort. The home is big, beautiful and quirky. A lot of work and heart are being put in to restore it and I would love to see it when it’s finished. As it is, even staying there in the middle of the project was still comfy, fun, interesting and very relaxing. The grounds are lovely with flowers, bushes and trees and the river right behind the house. Would very gladly go back again.

Gerald is an absolute delight! He is the owner and living in the premises. He is in the process of renovating the whole house and he is doing a great job! The beds are comfy, shower is hot, you have access to the kitchen and Gerald would love to drink a beer or glass of wine with you and have a chat. 😃 It's a beautiful area and this is a great place to lay your head!
