Sajeev is such a lovely man. He was so helpful at all times. The room was spacious, overlooking the beach with a little private balcony to chill in and read in the evening. Beds were super comfortable. A/C was effective and very quiet. The homestay is at the heart of Cherai beach, walking distance to everything on offer.
We opted to have breakfast every day - you could choose Indian or continental. We opted for Indian. Lovely home cooked chana masala and various curries and huge fruit platter and traditional breakfast items were enjoyed every morning, with an explanation from Sajeev about what we were eating. Excellent value for money. We also had dinner a couple of nights which was also good value and very filling. You will never be hungry at Sajeev's place. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

The host family is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The rooms are simple and comfortable, clean, and in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood.
It's very easy from there to go to the archaeological site of Muziris, or to get to the mai street to catch a bus or tuk tuk to visit the rest of the area.
And you get delicious homecooked breakfast as a bonus!
I definitely recommend this homestay :)

I stayed here for two weeks. The room was comfortable and clean. The host was really very nice. She prepared delicious food every day. If you want to have lunch or dinner or juice or coffee you can ask the host she will prepare it for you and the price is very good. If you need anything else, they have a shop and they can provide you with every day items. It is a a short walk from Chera Beach which means you are in a quiet area. You also have a beach just opposite the road. If you want to swim there, you have to walk down on a few big stones.

For a budget friendly room this was a good choice. Even though the room was quite old and small, the outside was really beautiful. The utilisation of the garden and outdoor area was so relaxing. The whole villa had an earthly rustic charm. The kids were affectionate and made the whole experience smooth for both of us.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Everything was perfect, very hygienic rooms and property owners are very friendly and welcoming. They offered us coffee and water. Owners arranged for us BBQ facilities, We enjoyed our stay in this home stay. Highly recommended.
