I had a wonderful stay with a warm, welcoming family! I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The room was cozy and clean, and the food was absolutely amazing. They provided plenty of information and recommendations on where to go and what to do—from a morning boat tour to kayak and bicycle rentals, plus laundry facilities, everything you need was available. Keep in mind that the homestay is a bit remote, further from the main river, but I found this to be an advantage. It allowed me to rent a kayak and explore the small canals easily. Additionally, the homestay is within walking distance from the train station—if you choose to walk, follow the road near the temple.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. Anu and her family are truly exceptional hosts. The property is brand new and, in terms of facilities, the best we’ve experienced so far. It’s independent from the family home, offering a beautiful room and a cozy lounge area. Anu even set up an additional Wi-Fi network to ensure we had a strong connection. She is by far the best host we’ve ever had—kind, attentive, and deeply generous, and an amazing woman and mum. She shared so much about life in Kerala that we truly felt at home. We had an amazing stay here. It is located right beside the canal so easy access to backwater boat tours. Karun is an amazing host, he looked after our every need and even brought us to celebrate a festival with his family. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
