Very nice accommodation; spacious room, clean and just next to bus station. The host and his sweet little dog are so lovely. It was a pleasure getting to know them and staying at their place. Definitely recommend this place.

Homecooked food by the owner was very yummy 😋 house considered very spacious as compared to other places we stayed. Room is very spacious. Shared bathroom. However it is not very convenient for family with kids to stay there, as we can't really walk much from places to places. But if you come without kids, can rent bicycle from the owner to cycle around and explore freely. Owner helped us by fetching us to and from lake and the Makaino Farm. We don't eat breakfast usually, but luckily we get to try breakfast prepared by the owner too ♥️ we relaxed and chilled here before moving to another place 😉

We love the atmosphere of the room. Just to note that to access the bathroom, you will need to walk out across the terrace. It was pretty cold weather during our stay so it was abit troublesome when we were going for a bath. Sadly, during our stay, we didn't get to fully enjoy and relax in the room since we were outside exploring most of the time. Would be good if the temperature of the tap water in the main room can be adjusted, since our hands were freezing every time we used it.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Our homestay with Itaru was an incredible experience. It's no small thing to say that the meals he prepared for us were our favorite in all Japan, but it's true! As guests, we appreciated his being a helpful guide in navigating the rich surrounding area and were so appreciative of being able to see the beautiful countryside. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic experience of Mt. Fuji and Japanese cuisine!
Breakfast was great. Bath was great. Signs said no tattoos but no one seemed to mind. I think tattoo phobia is more to do with locals rather than foreigners. Everything was very well maintained and very clean.
