It was great proximity to the lake, although the lake was lower than we expected. Still a beautiful nature area. Easily walkable. All accesses to the lake and rivers were blocked, however, the park and trails were beautiful. The home was very spacious and the WiFi was excellent. I loved the technology on the hot water (it did take few minutes to figure out because we had never seen that before). The tub was big and wonderful to relax in.

We had an amazing time thanks to our host Ken. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell when a person cares about nature.
The house was so-so for 12 people but very lovely. I wish could come again to use the balcony. It was cold when we went.
5 stars for the breakfast. The presentation and use of local ingredients was chefs kiss!

Sadie was a very nice and hospitable host. Quiet neighborhood. Close to major JR train station. Some convenience/drug stores around. Private bathroom. Able to use washing machine. Sadie provided new towels halfway into our stay. Heated flooring. Small kitchen area. Tv perks like Netflix/Youtube. Shampoo/conditioner/body and face wash provided. Teto the cat.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
