We had a great stay at Yufuin Sunday. It was so clean, neat and peaceful. We enjoyed the private onsen and beautiful views of Yufuin mountains. During our stay, there were two more groups staying in the house so we took turns using the onsen. The staff member who picked us up from the JR station was very friendly, polite and thoughtful. The host is hospitable, attentive and detail-oriented. He puts in a lot of efforts to keep this place welcoming and comfortable. I would highly recommend it!

The accommodation is comfortable and fully equipped, offering a warm and homey atmosphere. The host, an elderly lady, is very kind and lovely. She prepares a delicious breakfast for everyone. I had a great stay at Omoloso Hostel. Toshi, the owner, is a fantastic host. He provided me with helpful information about onsens, food option, ferry times. The place is charming, clean, and quiet, located on a hill close to numerous onsens and restaurants and a fabulous view over the city. I really enjoyed chatting with Toshi and other guests and learning about Toshi's amazing travel experiences. I highly recommend Omoloso Hostel.

This guest house is very special! We had a fantastic stay, due to the kind, well-travelled host (who made absolutely beautiful breakfasts btw), the beautiful home, and the location. We like off the beaten track places, and this was more like a homestay.
The house is behind a small temple and is about a 10 minute to most places in town, but a 3 minute walk to a Lawson. We were in Yufuin during a surprise snowstorm, and the house was perfect --warm and cozy due to the space, super comfy beds, cat, and private onsen (which we took advantage of daily!) It truly was one of our most memorable and relaxing stays in Japan.
