Gorgeous location on the lake, surrounded by wild life and a beautiful nature. Very spacious, comfortable, and clean room. Clean and spacious bathroom.
The host family is very sweet. They take great care of you, and you only have to ask. Nice and clean sharing kitchen with a conventional oven and electric kettle.
Sudhu organizes boat tours on the lake to Bird Island, Temple Island, and Cinnamon Island, which I highly recommend if you're interested in the traditional making of cinnamon. Don't miss lunch or dinner at Kola restaurant, on the lake too. Sudhu can take you there by boat, too.
If you're fortunate, you might even spot a crocodile cruising in the water.
This is an ideal accommodation for a relaxing, peaceful, stay in the midst of nature and with a wonderful, caring family.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations, so we extended our stay to 3 nights and will be back before leaving SL.
This location is for nature lovers: we saw eagles, cormorants, fish, monkeys, squirrels, all types of birds, lizards, geckos, and 1 croc in the lake. Nature also means ants and other insects that can share your bathroom at times. Nothing much you can do abt it, but if you dislike sharing with small critters, then you should avoid nature.

This guesthouse is in a tropical paradise, surrounded by lush trees and SO much nature and wildlife. The gardens are beautifully kept and so peaceful. The only sounds are from the birds in the trees. This guesthouse is a 10 min drive to the main part or Unawatuna and away from the crowds. The pool is fab. Melani (owner) and her team are amazing- it’s a family affair and they are so attentive. They have tuk tuks and are happy to drive you around Unawatuna at a fee. The breakfast and dinner is delicious and freshly cooked. The kids loved spotting the monkey’s, monitor lizards, chipmunks and birds every day. We will definitely be back.

Cute villa! I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay at Stuti Villas. Nestled in a lush, green, and homely setting, it offers a peaceful retreat with attentive caretakers on site at all times. However, I found the location a bit removed from the main town, and considering the overall service and facilities, it felt more like a homestay than a luxury villa. Given that, the pricing seemed a bit on the higher side.

I loved the privacy and location.
It has a wrap around balcony with ocean view.
It is only more or less 100 steps from the beach.
The only thing I didn't like were the many steps leading up to the property .
