Very promising new guesthouse walking distance from the town centre. The couple who run it are absolutely lovely and upgraded me to a newer room soon after arrival. Spotlessly clean with soap at the sinks. I would absolutely stay again.

Our stay at Bougainvillea Retreat was nothing short of perfect. The rooms were beautifully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing spectacular views of the hills and Victoria Lake. The staff’s attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel truly pampered. Relaxing by the pool surrounded by lush gardens was a highlight, and the chef’s culinary creations were outstanding. A must-visit retreat!

Couldn't recommend enough. We were welcomed in as if we were family. The food was absolutely incredible & the portions generous. The views are breathtaking. The hikes around Rangala House are easy but epic all the way through. We had the best stay. We will be back!

Fully recommend staying at Rohana’s place for some days. He is very willing to help you anytime with the planning of your holiday, offering a great variety of hiking paths.
The food was also very delicious offering a variety of local Sri Lankan plates.

This hotel had a killer view. The food was absolutely delicious and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. They brought us tea in the evening and coffee in the morning. The room was big and very comfortable. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
It was an exceptional homestay. We were a 7-person family group & found the rustic accomidation for 2 nights just just what we wanted. Close to town but quiet. We had dinner & and breakfast meals there which were great! Extremely helpful staff added to this wonderful experience.
