Sunil is such a friendly and caring host! We had a lovely time at his home. The view was amazing and everything was clean too. We also did a tour through the rainforest with him and he showed us so many birds we couldn't find without him :) We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner too and we would definitely come back and also recommend this place to others who are planning on visiting the rainforest.

Great place if you’re interested visiting the rain forest 🌳 We did two excursions, specially the day walk was very memorable, very unique experience! We recommend doing that to everyone! The cabin was beautiful and clean with a lovely sitting area. So relaxing. Food was outstanding. And the host did his best to help us with the transport, such a kind person ( we came all the way from Ella). And the shower outside was special too:) THANK YOU

Situated near the Sinharaja rain forest & surrounded by abundant nature, Sinharaja Riverside is the perfect place to relax your body & calm your mind. You wake up every morning & go to sleep at night hearing the sounds of insects & birds. Everything is built from nature! The meals I ate were exceptional! Akila, who is the chef puts his heart into everything he cooks. He was even kind to let me help in the kitchen & teach me about the fresh ingredients he uses. You will have a beautiful view while eating, & you’ll even be able to see peacocks & mongoose! The staff are so genuinely nice, friendly, & funny! They take the time to help you & are so knowledgeable about everything! Overall, I highly recommend this place :)

The view and the food were excellent. The couple who run this place were so kind and caring and the food was so amazing we could not stop eating. Great place to sit and watch the river and just take a moment to disconnect from the hustle and bustle.

Decent property next to the rainforest entrance. We got non-AC room which was sufficient. One of the only two problems of this place is their policy to (up)sell guests quickly into something, a tour, AC room or whatever. They should give time to relax first and not be salesy pushy. The second problem is overpriced food which is not even tasty. Nevertheless we enjoyed the rainforest experience. Sinharaja was pretty beaten path but we saw lots of animals thanks to our guide Sagres. Aak for him, awesome guide.
