Spacious, comfortable and stylish room. Lovely staff (Dinesha is a fabulous cook - our breakfast and dinner were both superb; Achini and Dula were knowledgeable and passionate about nature and we enjoyed our walking tours). It was a shame we couldn’t get to Wilpattu National Park due to flash floods making the road impassable

We had a wonderful stay at Dune Towers. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they prepared some delicious lunch and dinner for us during our stay. We especially appreciated being allowed to use the facilities for a few extra hours after check-out — a thoughtful gesture that made our experience even better.
The building itself is truly unique, with the dune tower design adding a special touch to the atmosphere. Our room was very spacious, spotless, and comfortable. The location is also great — just a short walk from the beach and with a lovely swimming pool on site.
While it is a bit remote from other places, we didn’t mind at all. We were happy with the food options provided and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the beach and pool. All in all, a peaceful and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time at Dili's. They are a very welcoming family and helped us arrange dolphin watching, bike rental, fishing, and tuk tuks. The food is excellent. One evening we went fishing with their neighbour in the lagoon at the end of the road. Dili cooked the fish we caught and it was delicious - our best meal in Sri Lanka!

Sun Wind Beach Kite Resort is a place with an incredibly positive vibe. Spending a few weeks with Susantha's family is an experience in itself. Delicious homemade dinners prepared by his mom, a always-smiling dad, and Susantha with his unique outlook on life.
More importantly, when it comes to learning how to kite surf, I couldn't have found a better place. Susantha is a passionate person dedicated to ensuring his team teaches you how to ride a kite and have fun doing it. They wouldn't let me give up when I was feeling overwhelmed, and eventually, I started riding the board with the kite. Huge thanks to the entire team: Susantha, Chamindha, Denniske and other friends for great adventure and helping me fulfill my dream😊😊

You can eat there, you can kite surf, you can work by the table. It's close to the beach. The owners are very welcoming.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Location, price, rooms, cooking facilities, property has a lot of wildlife like 2 different types squirrels, 2 different types of bats at night, monkeys, peacocks, many different kinds of birds, lizards were they are permanent residents of the water hole. Staff are amazing with information, arranging or assisting with tours, tuk tuks, delivery of meals. Special thank you to Afshal who went out of his way everyday we were there. We have stayed in many home stays in Sri Lanka and this is by far our favourite, highly recommend.
