beds were so comfy, peace and quiet around, breakfasts tasty, amazingly prepared by local housekeeping legend named aptly Aisha. oh yes, and the coffee was GOOD.
The hosts even made miracles happen for us when we foolishly DIDN'T book transfer taxi to Marrakech a day before - they have spent time on the phone and found a solution that took us directly to next place of stay in Marakesh. Magic happens here!

Dar Alya is one of the most beautifully designed places we have ever stayed, and Sophie is a lovely and welcoming host. We stayed there for two nights and ate there both nights. They have a wonderful chef and their food is fantastic. There is a lovely pool, friendly cats and dogs, and three gorgeous suites. It's designed beautifully. Since we had a rental car we liked staying outside of central Essaouira, and definitely recommend Sophie, her team, and Dar Alya for a peaceful stay on the coast.

The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly - making this stay feel very special. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and walk in showers. The breakfast is delicious and filling as is the cooking overall at lunch and dinner should you opt for that. I chose to have a massage at the spa and this was also a wonderful experience. Overall, the property is beautiful and a 15 minute drive into the city. I would return in a heartbeat.

The setting of the hotel is magnificent - we loved our room overlooking the ramparts and so close to the thundering ocean with an astounding view. It was just beautiful. The location is very convenient within the medina and the breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning was plentiful and terrific. We ate dinner up there one evening and had a great meal. The decor of the hotel is lively and unique, lots of fun. The only reason we don't give it a top score in comfort is that our room was very tiny so we felt a bit cramped and the beautiful brass bathtub was a little tricky for showering. Otherwise, it was a great stay and we highly recommend the hotel!

Outstanding location, clean rooms, great breakfast. It can get a little noisy in the rooms as you can hear others throughout the riad but otherwise it was a 10/10!

We had a great stay at this place – a beautifully decorated Moroccan villa located just outside of Essaouira. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The heated pool and the garden were definitely the highlights of our stay. The garden is full of beautiful flowers and plants, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Fre.e parking is also available just on the property area
A peacock roams freely and even came by to say hi during breakfast in the garden – such a lovely touch!
Breakfast was delicious, made with fresh, local products and served with care.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Lovely hosts. Beautiful property. Our kids loved the animals (cats, dogs and tortoises!). They very kindly let us stay and use the pool area after check out until our (evening) flight home.
Quiet nice villa outside Essaouira run by lovely hosts mother & son. We spent a week there and it was great. Sidi Kaouki & Essaouira are 15min away bar car.
