Paula was very sweet and welcomed us warmly. The room was simple but had thoughtful touches that made it nicer. Also there are two very sweet cats on property who welcomed us every time we entered and exited.

I am unsure whether Booking.com is at fault or if the property is at fault. The description on Booking.com was immensely surprised when I pointed out the tremendous inaccuracies of the Booking.com description. The description promised private kitchen and pool, toiletries; and a communal kitchen which exists but was overrun with small bugs and flies. Kitchen rules are posted and ignored. The result is a dirty mess on counters in dish strainers on tables and more. It appears the staff trusts patrons to do the up keep but it wasn't happening. In spite of being set back off the road the room was incredibly noisy. We were promised a ground floor room but given a second (top) floor room that has no glass windows, only screens and was on the outside of the building meaning it was closer to the noisy road. We experienced no security issues but having a large window with only a screen certainly makes security chancy. No hot water promised, no hot water, but it would have been nice to know before we booked. The price was great, but we stayed only one night not three. The owner graciously allowed us to leave without charge and even gave us a discount on our one night. I actually had a very good philosophical discussion with him.

The natural wood, the tasteful art and no unsightly TV screen (thank you ! Finally someone has understood that in 2025 we're all on our smartphones), the wonderful father and son team who are fixing up the property and who gave me great suggestions for everything, the strong wifi, free water and espresso machine. 7 min. pleasant walk to the beach, great restaurants around the corner, quiet AC and fan. .

I think value for money is alright. I got a room pretty spontaneously, it has everything you need. Enough place to unpack your stuff, i really appreciate the mosquito nets on the windows. Even though they look pretty dated, they work well. The staff was very helpful and especially the lady at the reception always greeted me with a smile. They provide free water to fill up your bottle.
In the room i was in, i always had warm water to shower(also at night time), despite what other comments were suggesting. So maybe they have improved on that.
The location is good in terms of not being in the middle of the town. So you only hear some birds and roosters in the morning, which is apparently almost everywhere in mexico. Of course it also depends on how well the other guests respect the quiet times, i was in luck. And if i woke up in the morning due to brightness or noise, i just put the blindfold on and noise cancelling headphones, so no big deal at all. I'd consider coming again

Aaron was so helpful and really talkative, even though my Spanish is not the best he helped me through the conversation. Fan above the bed does the trick in the hot weather, would recommend.

Loved the beautiful plants and the pool. The bed was very comfortable. The shared kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Alberto was a great host. The location was great, and I was closed to town and beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Mazunte. 👌
No breakfast was included. Privacy and views were great..... and a nice small pool. David, the owner (?) was a good host..... along with his helper, Joshua.
Great place to stay in Mazunte, only a five minute walk into town. The rooms are spacious and the common area (plus pool) is really lovely and a great place to chill. Albert is also a great host with good tips for what to do in the area.
What an lovely hostel!! The photos really don’t do it justice, it’s sooo beautiful and green and the plunge pool is amazing! The rooms are also so lovely, comfortable and cleaned everyday! The kitchen is massive and so we’ll stocked. Great location too and lovely helpful staff, highly recommend
I really loved to stay here and like a lot of people I met here, I extended my stay. If you like camping it‘s probably the best place to stay in Mazunte. The whole site is quite recently built with love, you are really sleeping under the stars and since Mazunte is so small, it really didn‘t bother me to walk up the hill. It‘s also really close to San Agustinillo which I would say, is the nicest beach around Mazunte. Nati is a really great host!
Everthing, the owners , their little girl and Ricardo are the most friendly, kindhearted and nice people ☺️
It felt more like a homestay than a hostel, the dog and the cats are super friendly, I met great people and had a very nice time! The hostel itself is cleaned several times a day and has a charming atmosphere.
If you look for a lovely, rustic, hippie place with great people and warm 'vibes' go there!
