Bathroom was on a separate floor, but that was fine, as there was also a separate toilet on the same floor as the room. I loved waking up to the sound of the goats! They offer a Tea Tasting experience which was well worth the money. Finest quality teas from Ilam and I learnt a lot about their preparation and history. Would definitely recommend staying here. I need not have had any concerns, as the family were excellent hosts and I learnt a lot about local culture. Fantastic views from the balcony and rooftop terrace. Great location, very near centre, but in a quiet side road. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Clean comfortable room. I also did their Cheese Tasting experience which was very interesting. It truly was a homestay as a homestay should be. The host gave me recommendations on where to go and also took me to the silk farm herself. The room was clean and comfortable and the location is absolutely perfect, just right behind the main street with some great views on the hills from the room.
