More than a simple homestay: Ray and Samantha (and of course the fantastic cook Ata Mercy!) made us feel part of their family. The house is very clean, close to the port, in a beautiful green area. The bedroom was huge and the bed so comfy!!
But more than everything else I appreciated this sense of home. They invited us to eat together every day and it was the best filipino food ever!! Chatting, sharing ideas and life stories, karaoke nights...it was such a pleasant stay!
Travelling from one place to the other might be tiring, at Vasquez's we could cook in their kitche, relax and be at home!
Thank you 1000 times!

Rodrigo and his nephew Bon are wonderful hosts—welcoming, helpful, and attentive. Their place is truly a hidden gem and offers incredible value for money. They assisted us with airport transfers and provided a motorbike rental with good-quality helmets at reasonable rates.
Our simple bamboo-style room was spacious, with a decent-sized cold-water shower room that included a large washing tub, allowing us to do our own hand-wash laundry. They also provided good-quality soap. All shared spaces—including the kitchen, walkways, and garden—were kept tidy and clean.
Optional air conditioning was available for an additional charge, but we didn’t need it during our early March stay, as temperatures never exceeded 28°C. Instead, we had a good oscillating fan that kept us comfortable. Drinking water and instant coffee were also available.
The spacious shared kitchen was well-equipped with a fridge freezer (where we could make ice), a gas hob, utensils, a kettle, and other essentials. The garden was lovely and thoughtfully designed to provide privacy between guest rooms, each with its own small patio area featuring comfortable seating under a rain cover.
The location is less than a 20-minute trike ride from the airport and many amenities, including restaurants and shops. There are also a couple of excellent Pinoy restaurants within a five-minute drive, so renting a motorbike is highly recommended for getting around.
Rodrigo and Bon are continually working to enhance the guest experience. They have plans to add window mosquito screens, more washing lines for laundry, a clothing rail, side tables, and possibly ambient reading lights. A hot-water shower would be a welcome future addition for guests who prefer it—we would have happily paid a little more for this added comfort.
The WiFi is a little patchy, so this is best suited for those looking for a peaceful, remote break in nature.
All in all, this is a lush backpackers’ accommodation!

My stay at Hidden Tourist Inn was like a vacation to Heaven.
The cozy bungalows are immersed in an amazing garden, full of beautiful plants, trees and flowers, providing shadow and privacy.
Bungalows are also equipped with a table and chairs, protected by a waterproof big umbrella.
When sitting outside in the evening you can hear the sound of the waves from the sea that is just across the road.
They have air-conditioning for an extra charge, in case you want to use the service, otherwise you can just use the fan provided for free in the room.
Keep in mind that there is not hot water in the shower, however it was very hot, so I did not need it.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.
They also have a bungalow equipped with an eating table, chairs and a kitchen (stoven is present but is not in use, probably for safety reasons).
Common areas offer a fridge, dispenser for room temperature water, a dispenser for cold/hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, dishes, tables and chairs, ... and a reception.
There is WiFi but the signal could be not so strong all over the property.
On request they can arrange transportation from the port/airport, motorbike/scooter rental, or private tuktuk with driver rental if, like me, you are not driving.
It is easily accessible from the city center with public tuk tuk transportation for just 15PHP per person per ride, using the green tuk tuk, R-2 TUPSAN.
Last bit not least, Bon and Rodrigo are so friendly and kind. Always available for an advice or just for a chat, providing that extra value to your stay.
I travelled solo but I was not feeling alone.
I hope to come back to visit them.

Really comfortable place, but it was a little noisy—lots of roosters crowing early in the morning.

It's a very remote location which is very nice, very isolated and quiet at night, and the very spacious common areas you can use. Honestly it's well worth the money and very very nice to stay at

The place is gorgeous and the boy who was taking care of it, helpful, polite and nice. He went to pick up water for us and lended us an hair dryer.
Also thehave a very cuddling cat, Waffa. 😻
The wifi fall out but was back in the morning, but thats not their fault, is something that happens a lot in the island.
And the room was also very very nice.
The only problem was the bathroom, is tiny, and the tap water doesn't work so you can't even wash your hands. We were in the top room and had to go down to the common area every time we needed to use the bathroom, because also to shower there, doesn't have hot water in the private room but there is in the common area. You have to keep it with very low power though, other wise it becomes cold again.
And don't make the mistake we did, they have a kitchen but not a restaurant, so you have to bring your own food to cook.
