The room is very small and gets super hot. There is just one ventilator, but this doesn't really help with the heath. The mattress, probably of the heat, smells very strong, this is definitely terrible when you want to sleep. Also, the shower didn't always work, which is quite annoying. The owner obviously does his best to make it nice and is super friendly, but there is a lot to do to make this more comfortable. Overall, it's not great.

This place gets 5 *’s I loved it!! The owner is the main selling point. He was so nice and accommodating and wanted nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay in Port Barton. I could not recommend this place enough. The fan was great! We felt very cool throughout the night and often had to get up to turn it down it was that good!

He had the top floor room which one of the wooden ones. We enjoyed our stay here and thought the staff were absolutely incredible. You get free coffee or tea and also water refill. The location is good and close to most things and about 30-40 minutes walk from coconut beach.
You can also book things through here such as motorbike, laundry, your onward travel or tours.
The owner also has a karaoke machine is you ever interested in that.
The only thing I would mention is the water in the shower doesn’t get hot but it’s warm (ish)

Clean and spacious room. Slightly out of town so nice and quiet but easily walkable. Accommodated us for an early departure and provided a breakfast.

We had a great stay at Charity Pension House. The room is small but very clean and there is a kitchen to use for everyone. The breakfast is also very nice and a super fair price. Charity is so friendly and her dogs and cats are super cute. She also helped us with booking our transport to Puerto Princesa and was overall just lovely.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Perfect for a remote trip but still close to Port Barton. . We've love the room and the atypical nights in the jungle. Marine and Alex are great hosts. Would recommend to stay here 100%
