The bungalows are so cute! They pick you up at the border but rather than pay 140 to go to the border you can just pay 90 and they’ll pick you up at the Tesco Lotus. There’s a restaurant right there and it’s in the country so very quiet. Everyone needs to stay here!

We stayed at the place because to be near to border to Laos (Immigration) and for that purpose it was perfect; simple, clean, easy stay.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Lovely host, arranged dinner for us after the slow boat trip, picked us up from the boarder and dropped us off at the bus station the next day, nice bungalows
Comfy bed and room. Beautiful view over to Laos. Great food and service. You can walk along the country lanes right down to the Mekong where there is a little bar with locals. Beautiful.
Amazing location , super helpful and lovely hosts , they gave us paper work for Laos border and explained the process , organised a tuc tuc , complementary breakfast , very clean and the view over the river was wonderful
Located close to main town area reasonably easy walking. Clean comfortable room . In general the locals were friendly and helpful. Nice outlook over the river to Laos.
Lovely stay just at the mekong! Staff is great and room is comfortable. They serve you a little breakfast in the morning and you can wake up to sounds and music from the nearby temple. We even saw the monks at sunrise collecting their food from the locals on the street. Perfect place for us after the slow boat trip from Luang Prabang!
Such lovely hosts ! They pick you up from Chiang Khong when you arrive, serve delicious food in the evening (not included in the price) and drive you to the border the day after. Perfect location for a little stop before going to Laos.
