No Wi-Fi. No credit card payment. No shops in walking distance and no help from the resort on how to get there.
Meals can be purchased only in the resort restaurant but lunch only if you join a tour or if there's staff in the kitchen. Breakfast is included but you just get toast, butter, jam, juice and fruits.
1 meal costs 400 Baht which is overpriced for what you get (rice, eggs, vegetables, chicken pieces in broth). But it's not basic food. It's homemade French cuisine. You pay it and you will not get to chose what to eat. Allergies are respected but dislike of pork is not. The owner decides what's for lunch or dinner. I said when booking I don't eat pork but what I got offered was pork (so I only ate eggs, rice and vegetables). If you have a scooter you get to buy a delicious Pad Thai noodle dish for 50 Baht not far from here.
The resort is run by a French couple and 99 % of the guests are French. For some reason. His wife was abroad so he run the resort alone and currently no yoga or inner journey could be booked.
No check in before 14:00. I arrived at noon and there was literally nobody to talk to except a only Thai speaking house keeper.
The owner arrived at 14:00 and greeted my by the pool. However, he only explained me the rules and asked me if I want to book dinner or any tours. No other information on how stuff works. I signalized I have more questions and I had to stop him 3 times from walking away. I felt bit guilty but it's normal to have questions on arrival.
The next day, I approached him to covert my lunch booking into dinner instead. But he didn't even turn around to talk to me so I had a conversation with his back. He corrected my wording in a rude way that it doesn't mean converting if I don't have lunch. He explained I am just not having lunch.
After that, he checked in a new French arrival in a very friendly way and gave them a detailed tour and explained everything to them.

Unique interior design and peaceful surroundings to nature. Especially for the host Don & his family, super considerate and warm-hearted. Also a big plus for the company of the two cats :)
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The most amazing setting. The two ladies who run the place are so sweet - just be prepared that they speak no English. Best to message the property through booking.com to communicate or attempt Google translate. They will simply do everything they can to accommodate any wish - for example I asked where I could buy fresh fruit nearby - they picked us a basket full from the garden. We had the suite with the bath outside but all the rooms looked amazing. Be prepared that this is a Homestay so expect rustic in places.
Best hotel/homestay experience we've ever had. The owners are very kind-hearted and will make sure you have an amazing stay. She cooks amazing Thai dishes. This place was one of the highlights of our travels through Thailand.
