Florence and her team were great. All were friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay more comfortable. Food was fabulous and rooms, pool areas etc all exceptionally clean.

I was in Kampala for a conference and stayed at Residence 256 for a week. The rooms/facilities look even nicer in person, and the Superior room was excellent and had all the amenities I needed and more! The breakfast (fresh and delicious) was my daily highlight, and I tried the in-house lunch/dinner on a couple of occasions, which was also lovely to have. The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was smooth. The only challenge I had with my stay had nothing to do with the actual place, but more so the location. There was a road/roundabout closure nearby at the time that made it slightly more challenging to get a taxi, but the staff was always helpful in those instances in securing one. I would highly recommend- you truly can't beat the value for what you get in terms of comfort and quality.

Our profiles : we’re a French couple, 34 years old. We stayed 18 days in Uganda for a self guided trip. We had our own car (Toyota 4X4) we rented in Kampala.
We stayed one night there. Rooms are clean, confortable, better than in Kampala for same price. The shores of Lake Victoria are at walking distance (very beautiful near by Tilapia Lodge)
But we really recommend that you take a birding tour with David the owner. He's a real bird expert, and going in the Mabamba swamp very early in the morning is an amazing exclusive experience. He took amazing pictures of birds with an high quality camera and shared them with us, as well as his knowledge. In addition to all this, David is simply very friendly and welcoming. A must do in our opinion !
