Great experience, beatiful house in Kala (Kastle) area of Elbasan, very welcoming and accomodating owner, I would recommend to every one.

If you want to feel the love for Albania, you have to go to Vila Rira. Aïda and her husband Ajet are most welcoming and want to share their knowledge about the environment. Even before and after our stay they gave us suggestions about where to go and where to eat. The rooms are nicely decorated, have good matresses and a powerful shower. The breakfast served consists of warm, homemade bread and local products. Aïda and her assistent are the best home cooks we met in Albania. You should definitely stay here for dinner. We've been 3 nights, but could have stayed longer. We went to Lin, Pogradec, Korçe, Sveti Naum and the tombes of Scela. Closer to the Vila you can make beautiful walks in the unspoiled nature.

If you want to get away from it all this is the place. Nia's Farm is surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery and all the beautiful smells and sounds that go with it. The accommodation is spacious and the shared kitchen and bathroom are adequate with plenty of cooking pots. Breakfast is tasty and a lovely hearty supper is available on request. The family are very warm and friendly and genuinely lovely people. To get the most out of this fabulous location a car would be ideal as it is rather remote.There is a cafe/ bar fifteen minutes walk away and a small village shop. The nearest town is Librazhd (7 miles) where there are several supermarkets and there is a bus twice a day. If peace, amongst the best nature has to offer is your thing Nia's Farm is the place to go.
