It truly warms my heart that someone with such passion and love wants to pamper us. She makes the entire breakfast herself—super fresh and absolutely delicious. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night, but we hope to return soon. It was simply fantastic!

Really quiet district not far from Xihu. The Subway station is not that far, but the distance is not walkable. We mostly used didi (Chinese taxi) to get to the temples or parks. It wasn’t more than 20 yuan. Room is clean, facilities are new, toothbrushes are stylish. The street nearby is full of the restaurants. We found a really nice tiny family restaurant (where mostly locals eat). The food was great.

The hotel is Nicely furnished. Our hostess Jk was lovely and when out of her way to help us. Jk cooked us some fabulous meals asked us what we would like. She was friendly and spoke good English. We visited at a quiet time of year so she kindly drove us to a few tourists destinations and was able to ask questions on our behalf in the shops etc.

Offering city views, Books&Bed Close to the Lake is an accommodation situated in Hangzhou, 9.4 km from Lingyin Temple and 13 km from Xixi Wetland. Location was very good as the place is near food places and the metro. The view from the 18th floor was nice. I had the whole place to myself, a studio, which is just what I like. I could use the washing machine, the kitchen etc. Most of all, the hostess was very kind, helpful, and responsive. I enjoyed staying there very much.

The people working there were very kind and the owner especially is a very nice person: there are a lot of books and movie posters and it was cool to discuss with her about literature. She also helped us with the map and more technical things. Every morning she made us a "Chinese omelette" that was very good! Generally speaking the place is very cozy and the cat living there is a little prince that sneaked into our room for a bit when we opened the door (we did nothing to prevent it ehehe) and it was very cute and nice. Everything is very clean and cozy, we would have loved to stay more!
