The guest house, set in a building dating from 19th century, is 29 km from Elgin Cathedral and 33 km from Leith Hall Garden & Estate. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The house was beautifully renovated and comfortable. Our hostess, Kira, was wonderful. There was always fresh fruit available and a lovely cozy living room with a fireplace. I would have liked to stay there for a longer time.

We got a delicious cooked breakfast, the room was beautiful, freshly renovated with nice bathroom. At our next stay in Elgin we will definitely stay there again if possible.

This homestay offers free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The homestay has family rooms. Lovely rural setting and beautiful view from the room I was allocated. Brenda, the host, is absolutely a delight and will go out of her way to make you feel welcome! Extremely comfortable, clean, lovely decor in the room and breakfast was delicious. Definitely give this place a whirl as you will not be disappointed!

We hadn’t initially booked breakfasts, but were glad we changed our mind on arrival … superb! Couldn’t fault the accommodation either, and we’d definitely stay there again if we’re back in Ballater.

The lodge is very conveniently located just when entering town. The host were super friendly and always interested to making feel at home. The room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, being spoiled with nice local breakfast foods (e.g. full English, egg omelettes etc.). All in all just a great stay!
