But I don't know if I will succeed, because, without a doubt, it was the most beautiful place where we have been in our entire life so far, as experienced travelers!What I felt when I arrived here cannot be described in words - I can try to say that I found Paradise on Earth!A small island, four bungalows, two on the beach, two on the water, dream views, the music of the ocean and the orchestra of jungle birds, underwater creatures of all shapes and colors right under the bungalows, a rich, fresh, young, clean reef, toilets and private shower, perfectly balanced food, fresh, unrepeatable, tasty, electric cleaner all the time provided by solar panels, wi-fi, and above all a team of wonderful people!The owner, Mr. Andy, loves this place and it shows in every thing he touches, in all the stories he tells you (if you ask him!). An extremely pleasant company, the silent partner of the team! The soul and heart of this place is Moana=Vayana, as I called it the first moment I saw it! She is Miss Esny, as I call her or Mantaray;s Queen (no one feels them and finds how she does it). She is a total joy from morning to night, a man who loves nature, who is ready to go in an adventure, whether it's the same or a new one, never forget to enjoy it, to protect you, to guide you, to help you know, to see, to feel the ocean and its wonders!We won a truly unique experience, a friendship for life, with a lot of admiration, respect, the desire for good and to return! Feri and his family were so welcoming. They could answer all our questions and point us in the right direction. Also nothing was too much trouble and they were really accommodating with us wanting to do excursions with limited notice. The views from the huts are stunning, it's nice to be able to walk to the local villages and the snorkelling from the homestay jetty is brilliant - we even saw a dugong!

The family put a lot of heart and effort into making our stay a great experience. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. Delicious and varied food, clean bathroom facilities (water containers were constantly replenished), great ocean view from the bungalow. The host took us on a number of trips, including a trip to Wayag, which were really well-organized, and we felt super safe on the boat as well as snorkeling with a local guide (the reefs in the area are amazing). The transfer back to Waisai was well-organized as well. If you’re looking for a quiet get-away from the more crowded areas like Piaynemo, this is definitely a good choice.

The guesthouse is quaint, located in a quiet area of town. The room was exactly what we needed after a long journey to Raja Ampat. Our hostess was very gracious and helpful. We will be going to stay there again.

Husna is a very friendly and knowledgeable host, her guesthouse was a perfect place for a few days for us to visit Kalibiru, scuba dive and ride scooters to the nearby village. Husna helped us coordinate all of our activities including renting motorbikes and made excellent suggestions for nearby restaurants. Her breakfasts are delicious, AC is in the bedroom only and worked well, wifi available, and she even delivered umbrellas to us at a nearby restaurant during a rainstorm! Highly recommend staying at Sandy Guesthouse if you are in Waisai.

We had the perfect stay and start for our RA adventure. Great location, beautiful and comfy bungalow. Big, provided water, tea, coffee, nice outdoor area, perfect equipped for 2 people. Amazing staff, great food on our private terrace. Lots of veggies and daily fruit. Still got great signal if you wish to stay connected. Easy and fast communication, no problems at all organizing trips or transports. Simple bathroom (bucket shower), but always fresh water.

The best homestay and location we’ve seen and lived in during our multiple trips in Raja Ampat. The homestay has a fabulous house reef and is in front of the Citrus Ridge. What makes Avinsea special is the owner’s family and people who help them in the homestay and with trips. We felt welcomed and taken care of like their friends, enjoyed every minute of our stay. Food was generous and most delicious, plenty of fresh fruit and snacks. All trips to snorkelling spots were well organised (we were most impressed by Yeben island), we even did night snorkelling with them we will never forget. There was always somebody from Avinsea snorkelling together with us – we felt safe and able to see the sea life we would have never spotted on our own (crocodile fish, for example). They collect plastic garbage from the Citrus Ridge, take care of the reef. Stay as long there as you can. We are in another homestay now and missing the vibe of Avinsea. We will revisit this homestay during our next trips to Raja Ampat for sure.
