Wow, where to begin? We didn't have much expectations coming to Terimakasih, but the stay completely exceeded any expectation we could have formed. The pictures on booking don't do the property justice; the cabins, view, restaurant, general facilities were all excellent. The staff was so friendly, and always ready to help. They cleaned the cabin daily and we got banana fritters as snack in the afternoon (still dreaming about them). It was so relaxing in the hammock on the porch, and it wasn't hot with the breeze from the ocean. It was my happy place for a small week. The house reef was colourful and full of fish. In the evening we saw bioluminesence around the cabin in the water. As far as homestays go- this one outshines them (speaking for experience). I'd rather you didn't book so there will always be a place for me, but I understand if you do based on this review :) It has all the ingredients for a wonderful vacation. Thanks, Mario + team.

Gibran guest house is situated in Kri and offers a private beach area, a garden and a terrace. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Atmosphere and Activities: Gibran's homestay has the best atmosphere among all the places we visited in Raja Ampat. They make sure everyone is happy with their stay, and every meal is an occasion for chatting with the other guests. There is a different activity (e.g., snorkeling tour) every day, and the plan is flexible to accommodate guests' needs. Diving can also be easily arranged with other homestays on Kri. Rooms and Common Spaces: The bungalow is basic but clean, the bed is comfortable with fresh sheets, and the large hammock on the deck is definitely the best we’ve had in RA—relaxing there is just amazing. The shared bathrooms are clean, and the shower is very powerful. The food is always different and tasty (more than in other places). Location: Kri's south bay is wonderful. From your room, you have an incredible view, with easy access to the sea and the reef. You can swim to the reef, and during low tide, use one of the nearby jetties. The long, white sandy beach is worth a walk as well (you can see the beach from your room). The house reef is beautiful, and the current is less strong than in other areas, which makes snorkeling very enjoyable.

Food is fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and organise any activities you want. Located in Besir in the West Papua region, Nyanse Homestay - Raja Ampat features a terrace. The homestay offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. This homestay was the best ever, I would always put it in my list when coming back to RA, it feels like we have them as friends and family there! I don’t know where to start, apart from the absolutely stunning views on the oceanfront pier and balconies, especially during sunset and sunrise, I really have to highlight the food - it was always incredible, especially the veggies just wow. The breakfast and the deserts (fruit) was usually calculated with about 2 pieces per person if there were more people staying at the homestay, but that was fine since they also have an afternoon snack every day! Me and my partner are freedivers, so we were looking for spots between 3-20 meters with the main objectives to see mantas, sharks and turtels, and the family did its best with helping us planning the trips. All of the we did with the homestay and it was great, they always brought lunch and coffee and you could really see they enjoy being in the water and with the marine life as well. We went to Manta Sandy, Tangjung Putus, and Mansuar and all of them were great, yet in Mansuar there was loads of trash in the water (like generally around Kri and north of RA during rainy time) which is really a big downer and will hopefully change at some point. After having stayed also on Kri island, I know now that Nyanse Homestay is one of the cleanest places and their housereef is usually quite clean as well. Of course the corals there are not as great as the spots you go with a boat because they are also more exposed to sun and heat, but we saw a great amount of colorful and different fish as well as a turtle and 2 water snakes (watch out they are highly poisonous but they do not attack if you leave them alone, also some other divers told me they are so small so they could only potentially bite where the skin is very thin like the ears, so all good ;) ) Now the best thing - every single one of the family is such a warm soul. They even helped me prepare a surprise for my partner’s birthday

Situated on the beachfront in Waisai, Coco Huts Guest House has a private beach area. The property features sea and mountain views. The Place is fantastic. A bit off the beaten Track. Rio and her husband manage the place very well - lovely Family. Great food. Sweet Kids :) The food was amazing, the house reef is great as well. Nice excursions with Vence to Wayag or nearby manta point and smaller islands also aroud with spectactular reefs and coral gardens. Pianemo also close. The trip to Wayag is close(r) to do from here, so you might have enough time to enjoy Wayag. The homestay has shared bathroom which is spotlessly clean, the traditional bungalows overlook the sea with fantastic sunsets. A well recoomended place to spend more then 2 or 3 nights.

Situated in Saonek, within 1.3 km of Waisai Torang Cinta Beach, Raja Ampat Sandy Guesthouse offers accommodation with air conditioning. The guesthouse is quaint, located in a quiet area of town. The room was exactly what we needed after a long journey to Raja Ampat. Our hostess was very gracious and helpful. We will be going to stay there again.

Set in Saonek, within 1.3 km of Waisai Torang Cinta Beach, Raja Ampat Sandy Guest House offers accommodation with air conditioning. The owners were extremely helpful with organizing trips, answering questions, giving advice on places to stay. The breakfasts were always delicious and varied. They were very knowledgable about the region and were well connected. They arrainged a good scooter at a fair price. A great first landing spot off of the ferry from Sorong. I have already booked my second stay when back from the outer islands to prepare for the return ferry trip. International travelers will be happy here.

Offering a terrace and a private beach area, Alter Native Stay is situated in Tapokreng. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms include a seating area where you can relax. Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!!
