Fantastic stay in Bukit Lawang among fantastic people. Perfectly organized transfer, stay and treks to the jungle with great and experienced guides. I started communicating with Sarah months before with questions on the weather and trekking and she was always accommodating even when i hadn't booked anything! A few months later I finally booked a stay and everything was organised very well from the airport pickup to my room to an amazing 3 day trek with the best guides SUGI and SATRIA! I didn't want to be pressured on the hike which can happen when you're with a group of younger, more fit and more 'aggressive' hikers. So Sarah's husband paired me up with a couple who wanted to take their time and we were the perfect match! Our guides made sure we were safe, well fed, comfortable and we got to see soooo many animals - core memories - MADE!

There was nothing we didn’t like. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated room, amazing tropical garden, delicious food in the restaurant, the well organised and executed overnight tour into the jungle (yes, we were lucky to see orangutans in the wild) But it is the people working at the Orangutan discovery villa that made our stay unforgettable - highly hospitable, accommodating, genuine in every way. If we are ever to go back to Bukit Lawang it will be the this place.
