Hótel is small but all facilities are quite new and modern. The shared kitchen has new kitchenware and very convenient compared to other hotels that shared kitchen provided very old and not so clean kitchenware. It is located in remote area so it is quite peaceful and beautiful scenic view. We are happy there is very good warm pool nearby. The pool is cozy and not crowded at all.

Akkeri Guesthouse provides rooms in Stykkishólmur. This guest house features a garden and free private parking. At the guest house, units include a desk and a flat-screen TV. Very nice and friendly host. Breakfast was best among all the accomodations we had for the entire 10 days ring road trip. Room was well equipped and clean Bonus: The host is very experience in Northern light viewing. He directed us to the best time and spot to view northern lights. Awesome!

Grillimisvõimalusega Sunna's Guesthouse asub Drangsnes'is. It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

The hotel is really cozy, clean, new, staff is nice, the beds are super comfortable and the breakfast was incredible. Definitely recommend!

Drangar Country Guesthouse asub Snæfellsnesi poolsaarel, Stykkishólmurist 37 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on ühine puhkeruum. Majutusasutuses on ühine köök ja pakihoid. The staff was amazing! I feel so bad I can't remember the main woman's name but she was wonderful. So welcoming and gave us so much information about the history of Drangar as well as recommendations for the rest of our trip. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and so quiet. The whole property is stunning and worth walking around! The breakfast was delicious and included homemade bread and jams by the owner which just felt like such a wonderful and warm touch. We both kept saying we wish we could stay longer!! It felt very special!

Out of 7 times visiting Iceland, we never stopped in Stykkisholmur - this was long overdue. I think we picked the perfect place to enjoy this town, as Monika was an outstanding host. We pretty much had the guesthouse all to ourselves, as a group of 7 people. We enjoyed all the nice touches from the owner, all the little extras like some food in the fridge, 2 types of coffee to choose from in the morning, and the games and books in the living room. We were a bit in a rush to continue our tour and head back to Keflavik the next day, which was our only regret as we could not enjoy the guesthouse a bit longer.
