Offering free bikes and garden view, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort is set in Habawewa, 38 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 39 km from Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. We had a wonderful visit. The resort is located immediately outside the National Park, so the location is perfect. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The area is quiet and you can hear the birds and the jungle sounds (we even heard an elephant!) The resort is family run and the host, his wife and two sons were very friendly and helpful. The meals were good and (very) plentiful. We enjoyed a safari in the park with the host and there are walking paths on the lake outside the park where we saw lots of birds. Overall a great experience.

We had a great stay at Lake Wind and most enjoyed the lovely breakfast service on the balcony which is worth the stay all on its own- seeing the wildlife and sounds of the lake

Set 12 km from Pidurangala Rock, Swan Lake Habarana offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The host was incredible with us. Received us very well and manage all the activities in a way to make it easier for us. We strongly recommend it.

It is very conveniently situated and has a wonderful and peaceful ambience. It is extremely clean and comfortable and the staff are super efficient!

Meegahapokuna Resort offers accommodation set 4.4 km from the centre of Anuradhapura and features a garden and a terrace. It's a fabulous place to stay. Wonderful environment with excellent hospitality. Can enjoy bird watching at the pond and the paddy fields. I highly recommend this place.

Offering a garden and garden view, Oleena Home Stay is situated in Habarana, 11 km from Pidurangala Rock and 12 km from Sigiriya Rock. We had a wonderful time at Oleena's quiet and peaceful homestay. Breakfast, dinner and accommodation were great and Jeewa can take you anywhere you want at reasonable prices - be it to Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, an ayurvedic retreat or a spice garden. We would return any time.

Situated in Habarana, VISU VILLA hotel features accommodation with pool with a view, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. I had the best time at Visu Villa. The staff is super helpful and knowlegable about the area and all things to see and do. The food was great and in the evenings we would sit and talk or hear some music from Mr. Dhilip. I would highly recommend. Big thank you to Ruwan and all his amazing staff!

Well set in Anuradhapura, Water Front Home Stay is a recently renovated homestay, which provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and free private parking. We had an amazing host, Wasanta.He arranged a car from Colombo when we realized there are no trains due to long running engineering work. The car driver, Lailith, was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The homestay itself was comfortable and we'll located to visit local historical sites. We ate breakfast and dinner here each day...vegetarian on our request. All delicious and authentic Sri Lankan. The room had a mosquito net and ac. There was free water provided from a water dispenser in the communal area. Lailith also drove us in his tuk tuk to Minitale and around ancient Anuradhapura. His knowledge really added to the experience. Wasanta was equally knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was very approachable. He arranged a safari to Wilpattu National Park. He taxied us there and back, arranged an excellent safari jeep driver with homemade breakfast and lunch provided. The highlight was seeing a leopard but also lots of other species of animal. Wasanta also arranged a taxi to Haberana with a wonderful Dambulla excursion on the way. We would highly recommend the homestay.

Situated just 4 km from Anuradhapura Railway Station, Blooming Holiday Resort provides accommodation in Anuradhapura with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as full-day security. My wife and I stayed at Blooming for two nights and loved it! It’s a bit away from downtown Anaradhapura (like Tuk Tuk distance) but that made it very private and we had no issues with noise. The room was spotless on arrival and everything worked as expected. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the TV was a nice bonus. The beds were comfortable and we slept well! The bathroom had great water pressure and was clean too! We had breakfast there both mornings and dinner once. The dinner was an additional charge but it was well worth it! They fed us so much food and it was all homemade Sri Lankan! We also used the pool both days and that was a nice break from the Sri Lankan heat.
