Facing the seafront in Delft East, Delft Village Stay has free bikes and a garden. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a sun terrace. It was very nice place. I was even upgraded with the better option. Slept in a tent. There was a mosquito tent in the bed also. So it was very useful. Even though the weather before my visit was very wet, in the tent it felt dry and comfortable. There was enough space in the tent and around. It was the feeling like living in small village. The owner was very friendly and supportive. It was amazing to meet other travelers and have meals and games together. We met there New Year’s night. Had a fire and played games till the midnight to go for the new year’s bonfire. I am very thankful. The stay was amazing and the island is also very beautifully. Real nature sanctuary. If I will be back definitely come here.

This is a very charming, impeccable guesthouse with a small number of rooms. I had an upper room in the house, spacious, private, with great working electrical, lighting and AC, a large comfortable bed, and lots of natural light. The room includes an ensuite bathroom and has access to a well-equipped shared kitchen. The entire unit is meticulously clean and well-maintained, on a far higher standard than most places I have stayed in here. The lodge is located in a very green, leafy neighborhood, probably one of the nicer neighborhoods of Jaffna. It isn't close to anything much, but the restaurants and cafes you do find are very good. Note that the lodge is difficult to find, as it is located on a side alley that is not on the map. Follow the signs posted at street corners and you will find it!

The location is a short drive to Jaffna town which was no problem as you could get a tuk tuk for 3-400 rupees. I enjoyed walking in the area as well as there is a beautiful temple & a nice restaurant at J hotels. You can also do laundry there which is great.
