The Inn At Matale, a property with a garden, is situated in Matale, 35 km from Sri Dalada Maligawa, 35 km from Kandy Museum, as well as 36 km from Bogambara Stadium. Dilini is an amazing host, she recommended us nice spots in Knuckles Forrest Reserve. I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

Featuring a garden, private pool and mountain views, Plantation Retreat is set in Matale. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Sarath and his wife Deepthi are the most delightful hosts. We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home in the jungle. We had a steam massage (highly recommended) and Sarath took us for walks around his spice plantation. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and chill, and you are looked after so well. Deepthi’s cooking is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I loved the old style of the house with its inner courtyards, and large verandah. Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive and generous with snacks etc. We enjoyed the bird life in the garden.

Boasting mountain views, Paradise Forest Garden features accommodation with pool with a view and a balcony, around 35 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall. It was one of the most amazing stays we had. We were well taken care of and the food was out of this world. They make all the food in house and it’s super delicious. Edward, the manager speaks really good English and will accompany you on giving tips around what can be done in the area. The hotel is placed in a calm estate so you hear birds and insects and a lot of nature. Overall it was a superb stay and we wish we could stay there for a bit longer.
