The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

Maminka i dcera se o nás krásně staraly, všichni byli moc milí:-). Ubytování bylo velké, prostorné a hlavně čisté a voňavé! Při příjezdu dostanete čaj nebo kávu, my dostali jeste výborné banány. My jsme se bohužel špatně domluvili a využili safari tour přes internet, nicméně je možné, a určitě tuto variantu doporučujeme, využít safari tour přímo od ubytování! Za podobnou cenu (rozdíl je asi 5$) dostanete soukromé safari v krásném jeepu (my za stejnou cenu měli auto horší kvality a sdíleli jsme jeep s dalšími 3 lidmi). Ubytování se nachází do 30 minut od vstupu do NP Yala.

Let me start with one thing, fantastic... the owner is one of a kind, room is clean and very well maintained... food is very good, and beyond everything their service is superb It was like my home and i felt like one.... so i suggest everyone to go and enjoy the stay, Trust me u wont regret that

Mayka's luxury holiday homes and Safari Thanamalwila se nachází v destinaci Tanamalwila a poskytuje zahradu, nekuřácké ubytování, bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a terasu. Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

We, my girlfriend and I, have experienced our stay as a wonderful journey. When we arrived, we were faced with a closed gate, but within seconds the owner arrived. After checking in, we entered the room – perfect! A nice big bed, a clean and spacious bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and everything you could need! After having a little chat, the hotel owner asked about our plans. We mentioned that we came for the nature and tranquility, and without hesitation, he offered to show us around the area. This was the start of an experience we will never forget. 🙏 First, we went to a small waterfall, very local with no tourists – just some local youngsters hanging out who even offered us a beer. Then he took us to Diyaluma Falls – what a massive waterfall that was! He offered us lunch, which he had made himself! A sandwich we’ll never forget; it was incredibly delicious. Next, we visited Buduruwagala Rock Carvings, where the owner introduced us to Buddhism. The place was surrounded by nature – trees, plants, birds – pure enjoyment. We thought we were heading back to the hotel, but nothing could be further from the truth. We visited real monks, where we received blessings and a white bracelet from an elderly monk. They also offered us boiled corn – so tasty! After the visit, we continued back to the hotel. On the way, we ran into a friend of the owner, who invited us to their home. When we arrived, the whole family was there to meet us. What kind and friendly people! They offered us tea and chocolate biscuits, and my girlfriend even received a gift! It gave us such a happy feeling, something we will cherish forever. ❤️ Then it was time to head back to the hotel – or so we thought. Instead, we went elephant spotting! Yes, you read that right – real wild elephants! It got quite late, but we spotted several wild animals, including both a male and female elephant. This, too, will stay with us forever.

Forest Tree Top Holiday Resort poskytuje restauraci, zahradu, terasu a bar. Chrám Kataragama se nachází 36 km odtud. Amazing place!!! The host is just the sweetest, and offers an amazing safari to Yala at much cheaper than third party websites, and he grew up spotting animals so you are in good hands (we even saw a leopard!). I cannot recommend this place more, it is quite special!

Ethili Lake view & Safari Camp nabízí zahradu, terasu a pokojovou službu. Demodara Nine Arch most je 47 km odtud. V ubytování je dostupné Wi-Fi zdarma a na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Peaceful and quiet in the middle of the forest. Wild animals all around. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Service and people were fantastic.

Michael is a fantastic host! His home is a true oasis, located in amongst trees and wildlife. We loved his chatty and friendly cat, and of course his food was amazing. Dinner is 1800 LKR/person, which for us was a little pricey, however worth it. A home away from home! Thank you so much, Michael.
