We found no ants in our room. The hostess was one of the nicest people we have met in Sri Lanka. She was so welcoming and kind. Showed us animals and plants in her garden. The food was delicious and affordable, we even got complimentary smoothies. And the safari we booked through JAMI had a good price. Thank you!

The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

Mailagama Cinnamon Residence er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús í Kataragama, 21 km frá Situlpawwa. Það býður upp á garð og fjallaútsýni. Þetta gistihús er með loftkælingu og verönd. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Lake Front Yala Safari er staðsett í Kataragama, 18 km frá Tissa Wewa og 18 km frá Situlpawwa, og býður upp á garð- og vatnaútsýni. The hosts were very good and accommodating of all our requests. Room was very big and comfortable, and a great budget stay.

The owner has been doing his best to offer great service ! Picked me up and sent me to wait for the bus , It’s way more than I expected! We also did the birds and bats watching the same evening when I arrived!!!! I highly recommend this place to stay in Tissa !!!!! Also , the food provided by them is tasty and not too salty !!!! Great and clean room !!!!

The family that owns the accommodation are the most wonderful people. So kind and helpful in every way and always up for a chat. The rooms are lovely and spacious with mosquito nets to keep out unwanted visitors. The area the cabanas are in is absolutely stunning with an array of various wildlife including a very friendly resident crocodile that relaxes nearby. The owners brothers is a safari guide and through the accommodation we arranged a tour at a really good price and saw lots of cool animals. Absolute 10/10 experience that was absolutely made by the lovely hosts and their adorable children.

Suduweli Beauties of Nature - Yala er staðsett í aðeins 2,1 km fjarlægð frá Kirinda-ströndinni og býður upp á gistingu í Kirinda með aðgangi að ókeypis reiðhjólum, garði og sólarhringsmóttöku. Amazing place in a fabulous location. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We even had a packed breakfast as we had early safaris each day. Cannot praise enough. Make sure you visit the Crocs before you leave!!!

Very accommodating, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Cool treehouse like structure overlooking a gorgeous rice field. They arranged a Safari in Yala Park, drivers, transportation to Ella and drove me to the bank. They also took me to a spot with a bat migration! Very safe, secure spot too. Great host family and space!

This place is great, especially for the price. The rooms are large and clean, and the surrounding area is peaceful. The owner and his family go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay and can coordinate a private or group safari tour to Yala National Park which includes the entrance fee, food, drinks, & driver/guide. After a full day safari, we had dinner at the homestay with amazing flavor and large portions (same with breakfast). 10/10 recommend staying here.
