Even leaving was on a positive note: I indicated I was going to walk to the train station, was given a bottle of water for the walk, and was surprised by a free lift after I was 5m down the road. Would definitely recommend. PS: this was the highlight of my Copper Canyon trip. Lots of good hiking. My favorite thing was just exploring, following random foot trails to amazing lookouts.

The hostel itself is comfortable and it has all you could need (except wifi), including an equipped kitchen. As a hostel you have the opportunity to spend time with other travelers. We enjoyed the company of the other guests and Carlos. The house has a location that allows you to see the sky full of stars if you walk a few meters from the entrance. We booked the private room and we could enjoy the firm bed after a long day of walking. We would definitely book the property again.
