Rural, secluded facility with all you need for a break. Clean and tidy with comfortable bed and brilliant heating (hot water radiators). Eclectic collection of NZ books to read are an added bonus. WiFi was excellent. Contactless (our request, because of medical issues on our part) worked well for us, the hosts are on site but unobtrusive.

Nice ground level apartment with plenty of room, comfortable bed and very clean. Carol was a great host and made sure we felt at home. Breakfast was continental with 3 different types of cereal and other amenities. We would detour out of our way to stay here again! Even got a spot in the garage for my rental car...can't beat that! Great value for the price.

Everything is as it should be, it's clean and comfortable. The room was large and well decorated and had tea making facilities (although I didn't like the blends offered).

Nice and quiet and can walk in to town quite quickly but the river is a little further. Lovely outdoor area for own use. Property was very clean.

Absolutely enjoyed our 2 night stay at Waikawa Beach Pod. The Pod is beautifully set up with all the amenities you require. We were generously welcomed with home baking and a bottle of wine. Set in tranquil country surroundings you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor flow and the beach close by. The beach is excellent. Richard and Christine our hosts are a lovely, welcoming couple. Loki their dog was also adorable. If you are looking for a space to unwind, relax, to breathe in the peacefulness we fully recommend the Pod. This gem is not for party-goers. The beds are extremely comfortable; we slept wonderfully. The absolute highlight was the breakfast: individually prepared, fresh, plentiful, and simply delicious. A big thank you to Lois and Alan for your wonderful hospitality – we felt right at home and will definitely be back!

Walkable to main street and food, and also quiet and tucked away from the noise of the city. Clean and welcoming. Beautiful garden and home. The owners are truly wonderful, kind, and amazing people. I felt safe and right at home.
