David was a super host; very friendly and helpful. Large room with an amazing view and a big comfortable bed. Shared kitchen facilities really useful. Nice being outside the main town and close to real Panamanian people.

Hostal Hansi is in Bocas del Toro, 17 minutes' walk from El Istmito Beach. It is 50 meters from the docks. Quiet, clean, comfortable with plenty of nice little touches like a three-tiered bathroom caddy for toiletries, and a kitchen cloth. Coffee maker was well used, especially given the quality of the Chiriqui coffee. There's a supermarket literally just on the corner to the right when you come out the building. It is larger than most and stocks fresh fruit, veg, meat, breads and the usual tins and packets etc. Also has 1 gallon bottles of water for $2. Leave the rubbish bin outside the door to be emptied each day; towels and bedding were changed during our stay. Everything was clean and worked. We liked it so much we extended our stay for another 4 nights.
