The location is superb, close to the center of town, the beach, the train and a supermarket, yet in a beautiful and quiet street.

Feriel and the team are good-heartet - I was very welcomed to stay some hours longer when my flight was delayed. Feriel also speaks fluentely and very proficient English.

Located in the Medina of Tunis, 12 km from Tunis-Carthage international airport, Dar Ben Gacem is a traditional-style accommodation which offers free Wi-Fi access and a terrace overlooking the city. Very authentic place, charming. The dar (arabic word for house) is old and looks like a museum. Staff is super friendly, room had Aircon and clean bathroom, I checked out early so haven’t had a chance to try their breakfast.

Amazing service, very friendly and welcoming staff and management. The attention to details was phenomenal and super quick to accommodate my needs. Sunday's brunch and breakfast is one of the best, delicious food with fresh seasonal fruit juices. The management allowed me to check in early and check out late. Everything was so smooth and no hassle . I would have loved to stay longer. A five-star rating is well-deserved for this delightful blend of cleanliness, scenic surroundings, breathtaking view, and outstanding hospitality. keep up the great work Dar Kbira!

This is the former apartment of a French officer in a historical building with beautiful original 1903 tile floors, high ceilings, and carved stone fireplace. The owners have decorated with high quality furnishings so that the place feels very classy. We were in Room 1 with a private bathroom. Rooms 2-4 shared a bathroom. We all shared the kitchen and living room spaces. Taieb or Ines came by every day to clean rooms or visit with guests. They left fruits and cakes for guests to share, and the kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, dishes, pots, microwave, electric oven and basic foods (oil, pasta, rice, eggs, spices). We could walk to the Medina and the municipal market easily. Has washing machine; line dry clothes on the balcony. Overall a delightful experience of Tunisian hospitality!
