I had a great stay at Youth Hostel Basel! The staff at the reception were incredibly helpful and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I really appreciated the free public transport vouchers—it made getting around the city super convenient. The hostel also offers a luggage deposit facility and complimentary tea and coffee, which were thoughtful touches. The location is quite accessible too, with public transport just an 8–10 minute walk away. Overall, a comfortable and well-equipped place to stay in Basel!

The self check in is very fast and easy- absolutely well managed. Breakfast is very nice, with warm bread served. What was very nice - towels, provided.
The bed was quite uncomfortable and there is no possibility to cover yourself from the light coming from tenants bed, maybe some kind of curtains would be a good add on.
The Basel Backpack is housed in a renovated historic factory, only 10 minutes from Basel’s main train station. The Basel Mobility Ticket (free public transport) is included in the rates.

It was a pleasure to stay at Basel Backpack and I will do it again when I go again to Basel. The bed was comfortable, the toilets and showers were super clean and the reception was full of stickers & flyers. Definitely recommend it!
