Featuring a garden, shared lounge, terrace and free WiFi, Chalet Turbina is located in Zermatt, 1.2 miles from Zermatt Train Station and a 8-minute walk from Zermatt-Matterhorn.

I have stayed in Turbina before and had a good time. This time, though check-in wasn't possible since the self check in instructions were incorrect, and the key box was empty. An attempt to send a message via WhatsApp to the property manager was unsuccessful because he had only provided landlines (I don't know about you, but my esim only provides internet data and not calls). No other immediate contact options were available, so me and my boyfriend had to make a prompt decision to book an accommodation elsewhere since it was getting dark and we didn't want to risk our safety. The access to the chalet is through a patch of forest without lighting, which is rather unpleasant. Instead of apologizing, the owner chose to ignore my claims. No refund or compensation was given even though he admitted to the keys not being where they were supposed to be. He actually even asked why I hadn't checked all other boxes, as if it were my responsibility. Please bear in mind that the customer service is awful, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Located in Randa, 4.7 miles from Zermatt Train Station, Restaurant & Hostel Hole in One has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

I must say the price is reasonable in mattertal valley, any accommodations nearby Zermatt or Täsch are raletively more expansive than this hostel. If you are a hiker, you would like to sleep in a private room, you have a budget limit, you drive a car or you can walk 30 minutes in a bit narrow road and don't have a lot of luggages with you, this place may be the right place for you. The soundproofing was a bit poor between the walls, but if the guests who stay next to you are behaving gentlely it would be a serious problem. If you want to mostly spend your time in Zermatt, you have to walk 30 mins one way to reach the train station of Täsch, the train ticket is around 10 sfc per way if you don't have a travelcard or any valid package tickets. The provided breakfasts were self-service, if you can prepare for your meals on your own, I think it's more wise to buy personal stuffs in the supermarket, because the refrigerator is free to use for the guests.

Located in Saas-Balen, Holiday House Lärchenheim has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Very thoughtful and friendly host helped us with everything we needed! He replies fast and is there to help you with anything, he even got a first aid kid for one of our friends who fell and cut his hand. The price was pretty fair. It has a very good location near a lot of ski resorts. Was a really good stay. Would stay here again

great location and excellent for anyone travelling on a budget. Ability to take your own food and drink and with a pleasant outdoor seating area. Nice sized shower in the bathroom instead of being a little box. The whole hotel looked like it was well maintained.

I slept in a hostel room with six beds for women. For a dormitory room the quality was high: the room was nice and the beds were situated so that it was possible to have some privacy. It was clean, also in the bathrooms. There is a big kitchen well equipped if you want to cook yourself, and house personal looking after the property. Kind service. I would come again to overnight during a hike.

Room was clean, comfortable, breakfast was OK The name given in booking .com was Zermatt youth hostel BUT the name at facility is Swiss Youth Hostel, so it was very hard for us to locate, far from train station

Everythings inside you need for a modest life like in a youth hostel :) If you are well conditioned, you are quickly walked to the Matterhorn Express I, also with skiing boots and skiis around ten minutes, but must have power ;)

Zermatt Youth Hostel is a well located place to stay at an extremely good value for money in Zermatt. The views of Matterhorn are breathtaking! The staff is helpful and especially Melanie, who was super professional and helped make my stay wonderful. A free breakfast is served every morning and you can also pay for dinner. Overall, I had a great time and highly recommend it for the budget traveler to Zermatt. Thank you Zermatt Youth Hostel!

1 Very good location. Just opposite the train station. The most lively district in the town. Besides the mountain train station to Gonagrat. 2 There is a Dennes not far from the hostel. This is the cheapest supermarket I have ever been to in Switzerland. 3 A big clean well-equipped kitchen. 4 Good price for laundry, CHF2+CHF2.5 for wash and dry. 5 Comfort bed. If you have a lower bed in a dormitory, you will have very good privacy.

Waking up in the morning to a clear Matterhorn view from bed was life changing, coolest hostel view so far. The whole staff was great, the most helpful of them all was the janitor when we arrived early, great guy! Really appreciated dinner being available on location as it was cheaper than food in town which was pretty far away. Bathroom was nice a clean and safe, and our room was comfy and quiet.
