Good breakfast. Excellent location with rail station very near to the hotel. Wonderful Lake Zurich added value to the property.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Comfortable bed, comfortable pillow, clean room, great locations. Nice atmosphere, and I felt safe in the hostel.
They had curtains on the bed which I really like, gave us a little extra privacy.
No big clash of bathroom usage either.
Good value for money given how expensive things are in Zurich.
The Location is perfect! Sits right in the middle of oldtown, you have many options where to eat, a short distance to bellevue/stadelhofenplatz to take either bus, tram or train 👍🏼 if youre on a budget - COOP is the way 🛒
The Hostel was clean, i never have to wait for someone to finish shower🫰🏼👍🏼 they have basic amenities which is great👍🏼 Vending machine and coffee machine and theres a code for people who will arrive later than 10pm. I find this place safe and clean and good value for money
The hostel is very safe; I stayed in a female-only room. Each room is equipped with lockers that come with keys, and the doors require a passcode for access. They also provide towels, and there is a shared bathroom for both toilets and showers in the same corridor. I was able to leave my bag in the locker for free the day after my stay. Additionally, they offer complimentary drinks and coffee throughout the day, along with a free breakfast each morning.
As always, youth hostel is a great place to meet great people from around the world and that was my favourite. Regarding the accommodation, i was in a four bed room with 2 bunk beds. As requested, I got a lower bed due to my backache issues. I stayed there two nights, so I don't have much to say. It just went well without any issues, so I'd say, all was great.
Spacious family room with comfortable beds.
Delicous coffee from coffee machine for free during breakfeast time.
For a youth hostel quite a decent breakfast buffet.
Great location near the lake and close to public transportation.
Well working WLAN.
The accommodation is in a great location, within walking distance of the train station and in the heart of the city centre, close to all amenities. The area is safe and quiet. The capsule is comfortable and spacious, equipped with a mirror, power sockets, coat hangers and a small shelf for storing things you need to keep with you. There is a lot of silence in the women's dormitory and you have coffee and snacks machines.
Excellent location.
Staff were friendly and the accommodation was very clean, safe and comfortable.
You can leave your luggage in the storeroom after you check out, but be sure to take note that luggage is not accepted prior to check-in. There are storage spaces at Central Station to utilise in case you missed the notes.
Nevertheless, I highly recommend to any savvy and budget conscious traveller this place - Switzerland is very expensive in general, but this 'Friendly Hostel' is the perfect fit for one or even a few nights stay.
Best hostel I ever stayed !
Clean kitchen, cosy room, very helpful staff, lovely female bartender, huge lockers to store before checking / after check out… even including lockers.
Can highly recommend it, enjoy and spend money on fun and food or just safe :-)
it was very nice and clean - the lobby area was well done and welcoming, and for the price I thought it was really good! when we looked it was one of the cheapest hotels we could find but it didn’t seem budget at all really. Great location to walk to Lake Zurich and Old Town as well.
The hostel is in the great location in Zurich, really central and great to visit the city. They are very practically organized with capsule beds and lockers for your bags both spacous and comfortable. We did not spend much time in the room, but it was definatelly worth it for a bit more budget place to stay in Zurich with better access location. Recommendation for solo travellers or shorter stays.
