Amazing location, the staff was nice and the food was good + reasonably priced (that's a specific point because you don't really have another option than eating there). The pools and cocktail bar at the top of the hill were great as well, we did more relaxing and less hiking than we expected :)

We had the best stay at Pistachio! It was so peaceful and relaxing. Nothing but the sounds of nature and beautiful views. You can watch the hummingbirds and tocans from your balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable. The access to a fridge, microwave, and bottled water was a nice bonus too. It is a short walk to town and there are a couple places to eat near by so you don't have to go too far if you don't feel like it. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Booked 3 nights at Casa Maracuya, ended up staying for 6 nights and I never wanted to leave. This hostel is absolutely perfect for so many reasons. It’s a 5 minute walk to town, but at the hostel you feel like you’re really in the middle of nature. It’s so peaceful, quiet and beautiful, with the river and sunset viewpoint being right there too, an added bonus. It’s got a great kitchen, the rooms and common areas are cleaned daily, and there’s a filtered/drinking water tap. I loved staying here, and will definitely be back!

The location is perfect. Close to the center, yet in a quiet, forested environment. The garden is beautiful, it's a great place to relax. The kitchen is well equipped. There is filtered water. The staff is super nice.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
