Located in Pacho, 45 km from The Zipaquira Salt Cathedral, Casa Kolibri provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

Recently, my wife and I spent 4 weeks traveling around in the Bogota region in central Colombia. During this trip we stayed in several lodgings. Normally we rarely write judgments on these, but for Casa Kolibri we want to make an exception. This is first of all due to the warm hospitality of Maria and her team, as well as neighbor and house friend Franco with his passion for bee-keeping and his love for and knowledge of the local (insect) fauna. We liked the pleasant room in which we stayed (we booked the Montana double room with balcony for 3 nights), the excellent dinners and the tasty breakfasts that were served. The room was spacious with a large balcony with comfortable seating arrangements. It even had a hot water shower, an exception in Colombia. The lodge has a large beautiful garden and is situated on the border of a lake around which you can walk. If you like a peacefulness in the middle of nature this place is definitely recommended.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
