Excellent location, easy walk into town but far enough away to be quiet. Property overlooks the ocean, amazing sunrises. Naty was a wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful with local information.

Located in Montezuma and with Montezuma Beach reachable within 90 metres, Pura Vida Hostel provides concierge services, rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace.

Joel - the volunteer - was amazing! The place is close to everything. There were not alot of people there at the moment, but as I just needed a place to recharge for myself it was great / if you want to meet people maybe a bit harder. The family that owns the place was very nice. Thank you.

Mini Hostel Santa Teresa is located 100 metres from the surf break and beach in Santa Teresa.

Location, facilities, pool were great. The owner Paolo, and other staff/volunteers were the loveliest people except Christian who seemed to love being blatantly rude to guests (other volunteers also mentioned he is like this to them personally and other guests)

Located in Santa Teresa Beach, 200 metres from Carmen Beach, El Gato Rojas Surf Hostel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities.

Stayed in one of the tents for 4 nights. Great space for solo or couple. AC was great, shower was large and semi outdoors. They say its a tent but well covered from rain. Big areas for cooking/dining spaces. Lots ofroom to hang out in communal areas. Staff were helpful. It is located in a great area close to beach and food options as well as grocery. Overall, it was a great experience.

The Cafecito Surfhouse - Santa Teresa is set in Santa Teresa Beach, within 1 km of Carmen Beach and 16 km of Montezuma Waterfal.

I had a great time at Cafecito! The vibe is super relaxed, and it’s just a short walk to the beach. Chelsea and Lenin are awesome hosts—so friendly and always there to help out, making it feel like home. The dorms were comfortable and clean, and the communal kitchen was a great place to chill and meet other travelers. Would definitely recommend it!

Helpful staff (they helped us book a shuttle to Playa Del Coco), clean facilities, beautiful patio/outdoor areas to hang out, quiet, great location, coffee available in the morning, lots of lines to hang wet towels, clothes and swim suits. Overall a nice spot for the budget traveler.

The hostel is a real old style hostel, don’t expect to come to a 4 star hotel for the price you’re paying. We had a basic simple private room with a shared bathroom, from the room you can hear everything but again it’s a hostel, that’s okay. The structure it’s very tico style. The community inside was really friendly and nice. If you’re looking for a place on a budget in Montezuma and at 1 minute from the center, this is the place to come!

simply the best hostel I’ve ever been in my life, once there you don’t want to leave. The hostel is in a perfect position, 5 min walking from the center of Montezuma so it’s super calm and fresher at night. it’s really immersed in the jungle so you can see iguanas and monkeys from the windows but still it has very good mosquito nets. the dorms are comfy and there are enough bathrooms for all guests. The breakfast is super to start your day.

The shared kitchen facilities were clean and well equipped. There are plenty of tables and comfy cushions as well as a few hammocks to relax in. Get to see the monkeys and iguanas in the trees right outside the hostel. There was a safe in our room.

Super chill vibe, great location, lovely staff. Kitchen looked great but I didn't use it. Saw monkeys playing in the trees above the hostel which was super special!

The hosts Gustavo and Regis made me feel very welcome and at ease immediately. The hostel is perfectly located in Rio, whether you like museums, party, beaches, food, walks... The hostel organizes lot of activities like a fun karaoke, so you can mingle easily and meet new people. There are many cool - day or less - trips possible to do, like hikes to magnificent view points. Also the hostel itself is just beautiful, with greenery, cosy terrace, grandeur from the past and still very ready for the 21st century! 10/10 or more!
