I liked the communal balcony overlooking the city and the sea. Very close to the center (about 5 min walk). It was recommended to us (2 women) to avoid walking back from the centre at night, and to take a taxi instead as it could be a bit dangerous. We decided to walk (roughly 5 minutes), and we didn't find the place dodgy or dangerous at all. Quite the contrary: quite calm. However, it can be a good idea to be cautious. You can cuddle with the cats, and there are some dogs. Even with the animals there, the hostel is super clean! The facilities are basic but good. Great for walking to the airport. The staff put breakfast out so we could eat before our very early flight. This is a home and you are welcomed and trusted in it.
