The room was clean and comfortable, The pool area was fantastic, well-kept, and perfect for unwinding. Aggie the manager and Rosi was very helpful in helping us organise our day trips and booking our drivers for us. Tass also helped us with arts and crafts, she was very patient with the many questions we had. Overall, the place had a really welcoming vibe, with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The reason why I booked this place is because my friend likes her coffee and this place delivered.
Just a minutes' walk from Wailoaloa Beach, Bamboo Backpackers features free WiFi and paid 24/7 airport pickup. All rooms include lovely garden views and free linen.

Don't get me wrong, this place has potential, problem is in people...I did not felt safe most of the time, scatchy people trying to get inside the room in the middle of night, staff going through our baggage (I got even small thing missing), there is a general theft in the whole area (mostly by staff members unfortunately), basically everyone can roam freely in the area and take whatever they want...
Partly warm water, sometimes no water 😃
But the staff is amazing, Kava sessions almost every night, singing, backpackers from all over the world, daily activities and paid tours, affordable food and bars around..

The rooms are excellent, lovely large king bed and bathroom was clean and spacious the air conditioning is very good.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The place is kind of like a nicer youth hostel, with a shared shower and toilet (it's kept clean, but bring flipflops since the floor is wet). It has a good location near some restaurants, a beach, and it's away from town. Overall, with the free breakfast, it is very good value for money. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they're the best part about staying there.
I came to Fiji without any plan. After I checked in Imeri helped me with my vacation route and booked a fantastic holiday including island trips for me. For low budget travel I would highly recommend bamboo backpackers and definitely will come back
Just room&we all book hotels with pool there pool is way dirty they told me we doing deep cleaning but actually did nothing they need is vacuum cleaning and it’s health & safety concern& kids still swim they can get hurt& from way to dirty pool and resorts hotels a expensive when u book with pool no pool cheap apartments they need to think and nothing to do there as they don’t have anything else apart from that .Thank you
We are backpackers on a budget, and to be fair the facilities aren't the best, but we didn't pay alot either. The pool is lovely, the sea is beautiful to have dinner beside, and the staff were actually lovely just come across abit less friendly than other places. Again, working in hospitality I can understand. We appreciate the stay both before and after our trip to the yasawa, it worked well and they took care of us well and helped us with our journey 😀
Perfect hostel environment to meet new people, tables outside are always full of people, as well as kava evenings.
Hot water in the shower, always boiling water for tea, clean bed sheets daily if you want.
Lockers in the room, but you have to have your own lock.
The staff make this place and we’re honestly the best and so hardworking…Location, right by beach. Large rooms and deck. Cheap for Fiji, more like a cheap motel/backpackers in NZ which I’m good with!
