Set in an original Victorian building, this funky hostel offers dorm rooms with large windows and high ceilings.

I liked the location just being next to Haymarket train and tram station. The Hostel was also very convivial with a cool backpacking vibe.

The West End Hotel is located in a B-listed Victorian townhouse only 15-minutes walk from the West End of Princes Street, the perfect base to relax yet within easy reach of all that Edinburgh has to...

Ths staff here are some of the most welcoming and helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Susan and her team make you feel relaxed and welcome the moment you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble...ever. Although some of the facilities are tired and could do with updating, especially the mattresses and toilet/showers, the hotel is well organised and clean.

Featuring a garden, a shared lounge as well as a bar, Belford Hostel is set in the centre of Edinburgh, 1 km from EICC.

Pretty cool novelty getting to stay in a converted church! Generally speaking the volunteer staff were kind and friendly. We booked during the off season, so it was a pretty empty space compared to what it might be during peak. Decent amenities, pool table, tv/game room, foosball, and large kitchen. Overall, one of the better hostel experiences I've had.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
