Ths staff here are some of the most welcoming and helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Susan and her team make you feel relaxed and welcome the moment you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble...ever. Although some of the facilities are tired and could do with updating, especially the mattresses and toilet/showers, the hotel is well organised and clean.
Featuring a garden, a shared lounge as well as a bar, Belford Hostel is set in the centre of Edinburgh, 1 km from EICC.

Pretty cool novelty getting to stay in a converted church! Generally speaking the volunteer staff were kind and friendly. We booked during the off season, so it was a pretty empty space compared to what it might be during peak. Decent amenities, pool table, tv/game room, foosball, and large kitchen. Overall, one of the better hostel experiences I've had.
Edinburgh West Side Hostel is set in Edinburgh, 2.5 km from Edinburgh Zoo and 4 km from EICC.

the owner was incredibly nice and helpful, he let me check in super late and allowed me to keep my bag during the day there in a locker
it’s not centric but many buses take you to/from the centre both during day and night in about 20-30min
the beds are big and very comfortable and the rooms spacious
the bathroom is good, everything was clean, and the kitchen is big and well equipped
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Nice bungalow in a great location. Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies near by. Linlithgow is a very nice place and well worth a look. Easy to get to the road bridge and the coast.
Great location. Good sized room. Good fan. Generous breakfast basket.
